Camping Fun!!!

Shannon and the boys went for their first official camping trip this summer. Lets just say the inexpensive summer trip ended up being one of the most expensive summer adventures. The boys were going for 3 days and 2 nights which turned into 4 days and 3 nights which is not where the money problems occured.(campsite was only $8) When they got there they decided to rent a canoe/boat for 24 hrs and headed out to go fishing. They ended up catching 9 fish and ate them for dinner. The next day they headed out in the canoe. Shannon dropped the new camera and broke it.(first big cost)Then Brad managed to drop his retainer in the murky water of a busy canal(second big cost)However, they did spend 2 hrs trying to find it and actually saw it twice! The third big cost was buying food at the camp store to spend an extra night. New camera $180, New retainer $160, cost of extra night $50, time spent camping with dad PRICELESS!

Spring Break

Spring Break proved to be interesting this year. I planned a fun day for the boys on Tuesday...they were able to have 9 of their friends over to play basketball, football, and go to the bowling ally. Then all went down hill when the boys all headed home. I sprained my ankle and strained the tendon in the arch of my foot causing me to spend the evening at Parkview getting xrays. Then for fun on Wednesday I was able to go to see an orthopedic doctor. Now I am in a walking boot and am on crutches for the next few weeks and unable to drive. We had a trip planned to Cincinnati and Dayton so we decided to still go and the boys were a great help pushing me around in a wheelchair at the museum. We had a great time with Devon and Beth but I felt bad I was unable to do much. Devon and all the boys went on a nature hike and Beth, Brittany and I went to IKEA.

Music Lover

The guitar may belong to her brother, but she loves to play some tunes!
Very proud of herself.
Brittany got the opportunity to play a real piano while she was at her aunt and uncles in Ohio. From what I hear she really had a good time. All she has at home is a play keyboard.

I believe that music may be something in her future. We also have some play drums that she loves to bang on.

Christmas Joy!! (Posted slightly late)

Brittany got Jacob the perfect gift...2 more stuffed animals!!!
Brad and Jake mangaged to buy each other the same gift without knowing it...they both bought what they wanted.

The present they have waited for.....only for a mere 2 years. Video will soon follow.
Christmas is always such a nice time to be home with family and not worrying about anything else. This year was a little different because we all went to the hospital on Christmas day to visit my mom who had been there since Thanksgiving. All the kids enjoyed the time they got to spend with her but were definately praying she would be home soon. She did end up returning home on Jan.6.

Sibling Love

Just having some fun showing off the new PJ's for Christmas

Brittany is definately loved by her brother's even though they don't always show it.

Ok, I finally figured out it was my card reader that was not working. So I finally have my pictures downloaded. Here are a few pictures of love; thought it was fitting since it is Valentine season.

Me and the boys

Sorry for the delay

Ok, I planned on posting some new things; however, for some reason I have not been able to get the 400+ pictures off of my camera. Shannon assures me he will look at it but if I were you I would not hold your breath. I will be trying to get the problem fixed this week. So since I don't have the fun pictures off the camera here are a few pictures we had taken during the holidays. Hope you enjoy!!
